STEP-BY-STEP WORKFLOW
Step 1: Sales Order Confirmation
When any sales order is confirmed, the system automatically checks inventory availability.
Step 2: BOM & Raw Material Analysis
The system creates records in "BOM Requirements" menu showing:
- Main product requirements
- BOM component availability
- Calculated shortages
Step 3: Report & Item Selection
From the BOM Requirements screen, users can:
- Select or unselect specific raw material items for RFQ
- Click the "Download Report" button to generate a PDF report with current stock and shortage details
- Use the report for offline review or internal approvals
Step 4: RFQ Creation Options
Inventory users can:
- Manually review all shortage items
- Create RFQ for single item (click "Create RFQ" button)
- Bulk create RFQs for selected items (click "Create RFQs" button)
Step 5: Purchase Confirmation
After RFQ generation:
- Purchasing team can review and confirm orders
- System tracks all procurement linked to original sales order
